Overview
Use ChatGPT or Claude to strengthen capital budgeting analysis for major purchases and long-term investment decisions. This 2-credit CPE course follows a capital investment from the initial proposal through approval and a post-investment review of actual results. Learn how AI can help identify relevant cash flows, build and check net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR), and payback period calculations in Excel, run a lease vs. buy analysis, and use sensitivity analysis to test the assumptions that could change a recommendation. You'll also calculate the annual savings needed to justify an investment, with an emphasis on verifying every AI-assisted result.

Objective
